I took pictures of him in full fiber and then after I had sheared him.

Here he is in full fiber. I had just brushed and blown his coat. He didn't like it too much, you can see his ears are laid back!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSI-lXw7k4Eu8brbhg0l0HC5TGmV3ZtyTAznL6FtLfvAMlBJF2e8APr9ZAB_-yRofLpimmGD9oC9xUDOS0UQDVbhf5rbtx9TjE2PtNjMjqh8EZilnol3N8X0hb2tzaf0p3mnIRkFJ7VLy7/s320/042.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5398057357107564338" />

And...after I sheared him. He is much happier, see his ears are up. Sometimes I get a little closer to the skin. It was early spring and still a little cool at night so, I didn't want to leave him completly naked.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjP1hqHl7BVGdJxg3be-nJzTPWcryR4x5TKDsR-Tk4UiBRvhWjdMs-hnpLnnWBos-wxe_P-tDI7N6jBxaxzQ9USa2lUpFN2LuzIjh-u2fPs3J2vykJDFcEVBhlxz70z0QTl8UlQDLlpLBaS/s320/046.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5398058337465044370" />

Yarn in the dyepot
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0dbj0wmMR4gqATOKfa3d-cRC5oIv4z0Lhh9hJ4Na8orvOg6b0RifH-O5xpd4X_iViKRlFGeRHNC5HBkxVSk9OrZ0OON9GS0QeidaJhxvtftmFTZINlrT7-uI5ZT2hNYj4fxhTZIGqA0d0/s320/074.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5398059809216902114" />

Hanging to dry
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4ALl4OJNL7jTIeRug2R7HiurvSMhgSV4RwOmQG8hJu5KyA2h3sXMLkNTzYcxOWO_6tRQ0mOsTOZ21k2GveLAqhSZP6x6ibyhCroUCsv64XbKPMIQ5aW5O0SALFONHWjdxn5MMHDNTYqa1/s320/082.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5398077006477013938" />

Fiber in the dyepot
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1gqZvpFMW6JBIi92Y1ym77Fr6KIaTMoFVBqo5YL1zsxAtaOHWf2nTbwLQacFisRsEB-GI7L6gxcIsRSMjh2jWzSQWdXpq2H21CxYH6niGjnCbNQ99zSxGbHZEiTGl_tsOWzEbWLm5ho4e/s320/089.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5398061063784789986" />

Fiber drying
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJPq5yeV8wZqu-tKLivYI-Lbd_A5dqMq0SxKpQxwfHlF24irzu2B1uwYSiaI9HImyQJaB9QHrBRlyeuIBvd6J-0VKoi1D7pZpd4ZlyHIkaGPb0DokSjQrEc2FHeEtprHSFtZoUOTIr-sLi/s320/091.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5398064542268357218" />

Carding the fiber to straighten and fluff. I sure did!! I look forward to sewing lesson beginning again, new students and projects. I am excited to share one of my projects! For the first time I sat down at my spinning wheel with a specific project in mind. I chose the lightest fiber from Frank (my angora bunny) and spun some yarn. I was surprised how quickly it went. After plying and setting the yarn, I sat down and crocheted the most adorable hat for my newest neice. Whitney recieved the warmest, softest, and cutest hat for Christmas! There is still yarn left! If you have a special little one you would like a hat for contact me and we can talk!! Can't wait for all the exciting things waiting in 2009!!

Cramer Family Chathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05319432688861278381noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4020601556590709406.post-33897796827207537162008-11-20T08:24:00.002-07:002008-11-20T08:32:09.335-07:00I love teaching sewing! It has been so much fun watching young girls (and a momma too!) learn to sew. One of my students finished a project, laid it out on the table and said "let's just look at it and admire it for a minute!" I just about burst with pride, when one of my students wore her skirt to church. She was the narrator for the Primary Program so everyone saw what a fantastic job she did! It is humbling to see my students unselfishly make things for their family. One happy daddy got P.J. pants for his birthday. Thank you, Thank you students and families for sharing with me your joy as you learn!Cramer Family Chathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05319432688861278381noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4020601556590709406.post-84782960351012563812008-10-15T07:14:00.000-06:002008-10-15T07:28:04.991-06:00The Beginning!I am excited to get started in the blogging world. When I was little I loved to play school. When I got married and had children I learned to love sewing. I decided to combine the two! I also enjoy handwork. My grandma taught me how to crochet when I was a senior in high school. That started me on a path of, learning and loving, fiber related arts. I have added to my knowledge of crocheting, first with spinning my own yarn. Then, I thought I have this gorgeous yarn, I should learn how to knit so I can make beautiful sweaters and such. Then out of the blue I was offered a floor loom (still putting it together). I did take weaving lessons though. Along the way, I have learned how to make battenburg lace, and even some tatting. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and helping others to enjoy the things that bring me such joy!Cramer Family Chathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05319432688861278381noreply@blogger.com0
